Use 12mm moisture resistant board for ceilings and walls in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries that get steam or occasional splashes. Where the surface gets wet directly, such as shower walls or behind tiles around a sink, use cement fibre board in 6mm or 9mm, which does not soften when wet.

Boards
Polad Trading supplies gypsum board in 9mm and 12mm. 9mm gypsum board is lighter and is commonly used for ceilings, where boards are fixed overhead to a ceiling frame. 12mm gypsum board is stiffer and more impact resistant, so it is generally preferred for drywall partitions and wall linings. For bathrooms, kitchens and other humid rooms, use 12mm moisture resistant board instead.
Moisture resistant board is a gypsum board made to cope with humidity, for ceilings and walls in bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and laundries. Polad Trading supplies it in 12mm. It handles steam and occasional splashes, but it is not designed for areas that get wet directly, such as shower walls; use cement fibre board there.
Cement fibre board is available in 6mm and 9mm. It is made from cement and fibres, so it does not soften when wet. That makes it the right choice for wet areas, as a base behind tiles, around sinks and in covered outdoor areas where gypsum board would be damaged by water.
Alongside gypsum, moisture resistant and cement fibre boards, Polad Trading supplies marine board, PVC foam board, PVC marble boards, MDF boards, super gloss board and block boards. Marine board copes with moisture for sink cabinets and vanities; PVC foam board is water resistant for cabinets and panels in damp spaces; PVC marble boards give walls a marble look; MDF is smooth and easy to paint for furniture; super gloss board gives a high-shine finish for kitchen and wardrobe fronts; and block board has a strong core for long shelves and heavy doors.
Building Materials
Polad Trading supplies suspended ceiling, GI F channel and GI C channel for the ceiling frame, and GI wall angles, PVC wall angles and 6mm wall angles to finish the edges where the ceiling meets the wall. Together with gypsum board and the right screws, these cover a complete ceiling.
Board screws and black board screws fix gypsum and other boards to the ceiling or wall frame. Golden screws are used for timber fixings. Concrete nails fix angles and channels to concrete and masonry, and 6mm wall plugs anchor screws securely in walls.

Doors
Polad Trading supplies PVC doors, fire doors, steel doors, timber doors, hospital doors, security doors, laboratory doors and super gloss flush doors, covering homes, offices, commercial buildings, hospitals and laboratories.
PVC doors are a practical choice for bathrooms, toilets and laundries because PVC does not swell or rot when it gets wet. For bedrooms and living areas, timber doors and super gloss flush doors are popular for their finish.
Yes. Polad Trading supplies hospital doors, laboratory doors and fire doors. Hospital doors are made for heavy use and easy cleaning, laboratory doors for hygiene, and fire doors help hold back fire and smoke on escape routes. Share the door specification from your drawings when you ask for a quotation.
Kitchens, Wardrobes & TV Cabinets
Polad Trading supplies modular kitchens (HL & LL), counters, vanity tops, wardrobes, TV cabinets and cupboards, so a kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms can be covered in one quotation.
HL means high-level units, the wall cabinets fixed above the worktop, and LL means low-level units, the base cabinets that sit on the floor and carry the worktop. A modular kitchen usually combines both.
Send the length of each wall that will have units, the ceiling height, and the positions of doors, windows, the sink and power points, plus a few photos of the room. Add the items you need, such as modular kitchen, counters, vanity top, wardrobes, TV cabinets or cupboards.
